THIS IS ME
I graduated from the Art School of Piacenza in 1996 and in scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in 2004
moving in 2005 to Rome to work “ MONAMOUR” . I have never left.
Production design for me starts with the script, the vision of the director and producers and what I can bring to help lift the story from the page to the screen efficiently, while managing the artistic expectations of others, and a proper understanding of the budget. As is true for any film or series, my work begins in collaboration with all departments from the search for locations, to the costume design and how we all interpret the character's fictional lives together. I have excellent knowledge of graphic softwares (the passion of hand drawn sketches never passes). I use sketches and 3D models to help in finding the “look” that will serve the story and ground the characters in our ‘designed' reality.
The relationship with my close and wider art teams is fundamental; It's only by looking for details that you can make a difference.
Team spirit is very important to me; valuing all the different talents and skills that go to make up a full design and construction department, can not be underestimated. I am happy to work in English, French and my native Italian, of course.
I will always combine my passion for excellent design with my dedication to the project for the success of any TV series or film I am involved with.
